The reasons to visit Lebanon!

Lebanon is not a very popular destination among travelers and it is really a shame. It is a country of tiny geography, of a size similar to Asturias, with great relevance in history. From the first steps of civilization and the golden age of the Phoenician cities of Sidon, Tire, Beirut and Byblos, to the remains of the medieval Crusades in Tripoli, passing through the glorious Roman past of Baalbeck and the flourishing Islamic era, Lebanon it was always the gateway to Asia and the Orient or the last Asian port for others. That is why we give you 5 reasons why you are encouraged to choose it as your destination: A tour of Beirut, Beirut is not seen, it is threatened between buildings half collapsed, with its riddled walls, impossible sidewalks and traffic that can more than one to drive someone nuts. It is covered with hijabs and miniskirts in anatomies reconstructed with the blow of a scalpel, like the towers that share blocks with the remains of French colonial modernism. Perhaps that is why the traveler hooks, like a survivor, clinging to the here and now.

Baalbeck
Baalbeck is one of those places that you have to see at least once in your life. The wonderful complex of Roman temples that overlooks the center of Baalbeck is one of the main archaeological attractions of the Middle East.

Jeita Grotto
A mandatory stop, the Jeita Grotto is a cavern - more like two caverns - made of limestone, which can only be visited in the lower part in a few small boats, since it is an underground river of drinking water for the inhabitants of the country while in the upper cave one can walk and contemplate the different shapes and shades formed naturally.

Sidon and Tire
Sidon, 27 miles down the coast from the capital, is another key stop, home to a crusader fortress, and an ancient city whose maze of alleys is full of interesting shops. And Tire, about 37 kilometers south of Sidon, is a dusty wonder, home to the archaeological site of Al Mina, where ghosts of the Roman Empire cross majestic arches and between fallen columns, while the Mediterranean stretches beyond.

Know the national tree
Cedar Cedar is the native tree of Lebanon: it is found on its flag and coat of arms and is the national symbol. It is an impressive tree. It symbolizes immortality, due to the extreme longevity of this species. Cedar is also believed to have spiritual properties that help one listen to the messages that come from within.
