Visit archaeological sites
Tunisia is a country with a rich history and has many UNESCO World Heritage Sites that attract a large number of archeology enthusiasts each year. The ancient Phoenician city of Carthage is an illustrious example: it contains Punic, Roman and Byzantine vestiges, the tophet (sanctuary and necropolis) of Tanit and Baal Hammon, the oldest Punic holy site in Carthage, and the monumental Antonine Baths, the building most spectacular of this place.
Staying on the islands
The islands of Tunisia have a pleasant climate of peace and tranquility, so you will love them. A good example is the Kerkennah Islands, off Sfax. The Kerkennah archipelago is made up of two main islands: Gharbi (Mellita) and Chergui (Greater Kerkennah) connected by a dike of Roman origin (El Kantara). In Kerkennah you can find numerous lagoons and green plains populated by exotic palm trees. An oasis of peace in a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, ideal to unwind.
Tour the Mediterranean coast
Fans of fine sandy beaches will appreciate the Tunisian coastline: the Coral Coast, Cape Bon, the Gulf of Tunis, the Hammamet and Gabés gulfs ... An invitation to travel. On the Coral Coast, the beach of Cape Serrat, surrounded by a pine forest, offers a magnificent landscape of dunes that merge with the sea, whose waters are of an intense blue color. Further south on the Coral Coast, Tabarka Beach is a favorite summer resort for scuba divers thanks to its beautiful seabed and coral.
Discover the desert
The south of Tunisia is rich in atypical desert landscapes. The vast desert of Chott el Jerid, which changes seasonally: in spring it is a great lake of crystallized salt and in winter an inland sea, a lunar landscape ... Further south, at the gates of the Sahara, the dunes of the Grand Erg East rise to the west, while to the east, rugged mountain ranges stretch into the ocher-colored rock desert of the rocky Dahar plateau.
Penetrate the mystery of the holy places
Tunisia has very famous holy places. For example, Kairouan, an important Muslim pilgrimage site. Declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, its great mosque, with its impressive buttresses, was one of the first Muslim temples and served as a model for the construction of numerous mosques in Al-Andalus, including that of Córdoba. Another important religious site is the synagogue of La Ghriba (Yerba): place of annual pilgrimage at the end of the Jewish Passover.

A journey that begins in the Table of Yugurta (to the northwest), famous for its incredible views of the plains of Tunisia and Algeria, and continues through the natural parks, refuge of numerous migratory birds, such as the Ichkeul National Park (near Bizerte ): a paradise for the common goose, the wigeon, the flamingo, the gray teal ... Not to mention the amazing and huge water buffalo!
