Despite this diversity, it is a characteristic common to all the people of Iran, and it is friendliness and hospitality. You will never get lost in Iran, you will not get in trouble or feel lonely because there will always be someone to help you.

Persepolis
The marvelous reliefs of the Apadana, showing the tribute payments of the nations subjected to the Persian Empire, are well worth the trip to Iran alone. The ruins of what was the capital of the Achaemenid empire, founded by Darius I in 518 BC, make up a unique archaeological site of its kind. A few kilometers from Persepolis there are two must-see stops: the bas-reliefs of Naqsh-e Rajab and the spectacular rock-cut graves of Naqsh-e Rostam.

Traveling by yourself is easy and cheap
It is quite easy to travel the country thanks to its good air connections, whose very cheap prices make the train even uninteresting. The network of bus routes is extensive, although depending on which routes it is more worth renting a car with a driver, a possibility that also allows tourist stops along the way.

Mosques, among the most beautiful
Islamic architecture has in Iran some of its most beautiful and outstanding examples. Stylized, harmonious and exquisitely decorated with tiles painted with calligraphies and geometric and floral motifs, the mosques are one of the country's great attractions. The Imam, in Isfahan; the Vakil Mosque, in Shiraz; and the one on Friday, in Yazd, with the tallest and slimmest portal in the country. In addition, the country's calls of prayer present one of the most beautiful musicalities in the Muslim world.

A trio of top aces
The cities of Yazd, Shiraz and Isfahan are indisputable stops on a trip through Iran. The first, a desert city, stands out for its adobe buildings and the wind towers that cool the houses, while Shiraz and Isfahan concentrate much of the country's most outstanding artistic heritage. Imam Square, one of the largest squares in the world and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the Timurid Ali Qapu Palace, the Vakil Bazaar, the Arg-e Karim Khan Citadel, the Bagh-e Eram Palace and the Khaju Bridge, one of the most beautiful in the world, are just a few examples.

Therefore, the best time to travel to Iran is during spring or autumn, when the climate is mild and pleasant, and there are beautiful landscapes due to the colors of these seasons.
